History

In the early ’70s a group of technicians and professionals took on the challenge of going beyond the existing colorimetric sorting. They began extensive research and development to ensure the separation of the various defected beans as well as the removal of those that were unacceptable, based on one principal idea: definitively measuring the color of the beans.
In 1974, they developed an optical analyzer that with a sophisticated electronic system and mathematical fundamentals, scientifically and precisely analyze the bean’s color. The first patents were obtained and Xeltron, a company that designs, makes and markets machinery that electronically sorts grains and seeds by color, was formed.
Today this technological precision has evolved, resulting in international recognition of Xeltron quality. The company’s large variety of machines are well known not only for advanced technology in sorting by color in industries such as coffee, rice, beans, nuts and seeds in general, and have extended even to the plastics and emerald industries.
Since its foundation, Xeltron has placed thousands of units in five continents. Specialized scientists make up our research team, each one dedicated exclusively to researching, experimenting with and developing new technical advances to satisfy today’s market demands.

Customer oriented professionals care every single detail in satisfying demands from clients. This special mystique is the base of Xeltron´s growth and success over the world.
