Operator Interface:
Easily readable, color touch screen and interactive help.

Production:
The best cost to production ratio in the industry.

Reliability:
Minimum operator supervision is required, due to the self-diagnostic feature of the operating system.

Singulation:
The efficient singulation system generates high volume streams of evenly spaced beans; thus, high production per channel.

Precision:
The new Trikromatic LEDS
analysis system, developed by Xeltron, provides the highest sorting precision; it operates in broad wavelength range, from the ultraviolet to the infrared.

Sort Quality:
Defective particles and foreign materials are rejected with high precision.

Maintenance:
Automatic cleaning and easy access. Long- lasting ejectors valves. Low demand of compressed air and power.

Solid-State Illumination:
This new development, whose operating life is greater than 100,000 hours of continuous service, optimizes sorting precision and maximizes foreign material removal. Furthermore, its power consumption is less than 10% of that required by halogen bulbs or fluorescent tubes, and significantly reduces compressed air expenditure.

Technical Characteristics

Optoelectronic analyzer:
The light reflected by the particle surface is sensed by eight discrete detection areas located around the interior circumference of the analyzer; thus, total measurement of its surface color is attained without the use of costly reference backgrounds. This feature is exclusive of the patented Xeltron electro-optical analyzer. In addition, the sorter uses the exclusive TriKromatic analysis system that can discriminate even minute color variations.

Reliability:
The advanced control architecture of its independent modules, allows the equipment to operate on either a full or partial basis. In addition, a self-diagnostic system is also incorporated to minimize supervision, and alerts the operator about any possible malfunction. The rejection mechanism uses new pneumatic valves that require less compressed air and power, and feature an extended operating life.

Flexibility:
The Xeltron optoelectronic analyzer doesn’t use expensive reference backgrounds; therefore, product changeover only requires programming the new sorting parameters. Due to the independent module system, in those infrequent instances where resorting is required, one or more modules can be used to resort a stream, while the others are used for the primary sort.

Operation and control:
The sorting process is completely automatic, designed to be operated even by inexperienced personnel.
All functions are performed by state-of-the-art microprocessors and software programs, and the process control system is capable of maintaining optimum sorting efficiencies even in contaminated environments and with highly heterogeneous products.
The operator interacts with through a color touch screen; the Windows based graphic interface is intuitive, easy to operate and understand. Sorting parameters are programmed into a Master Module and copied to the others. The control system includes a computerized memory to store sorting parameters.

Production capacity:
The sorters of this series provide both high production volume and high precision sorting. Hourly production per channel is in the range of 180 to 220 Kg (400 to 485 lb); production is a function of particle size, product density and percentage of product to be rejected.
